The candidate will be expected to be open to using a (possibly) new technology, and come up to speed quickly. The application is written in Smalltalk, and the candidate will be expected to be able to develop sufficient understanding of the system. The role will require the candidate to develop detailed knowledge of derivatives trading businesses and a good understanding of OO development in the Kapital environment.
Responsibilities Principal responsibilities: * Working closely with front and middle office users, and the Kapital Operate team, to resolve daily and on-going issues with Kapital within the framework of the Operate workflow * Developing new functionalities and financial products using Smalltalk OO language based on specifications determined by users, and working with quantitative research team to ensure financial integrity of the new deliveries are intact. * Working with the Test teams to ensure smooth delivery of new functionality * Improve the processes, tools and procedures around the Operate work flow The successful applicant is most likely to be a college graduate with a degree in a mathematical or computing subject keen to develop a career in a world class investment bank.
